Steven Kasala was born and raised on Guam. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Guam in 2014. He specialized in wound care and gained experience in both out-patient and in-patient settings.
In late high school, Steven’s grandfather, whom he was very close to, suffered from a series of strokes. Steven became very involved with his rehab and was amazed at the adaptability of the human body. He also has an interest in strength & conditioning for combat sports and is always fascinated by the body’s capabilities to push limits. He has a particular interest in early detection and prevention of brain trauma in combat sports.
Steven is working on marrying his passions together as both a registered nurse and a (hopefully) physical therapist in the future. Ultimately, he just feels grateful to have the opportunity to help people in ways he feels passionate about.
