Glynis Grace Almonte, DPT

Dr. Glynis Grace Almonte is a licensed Physical Therapist on the island of Guam. She received her physical therapy degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines in 2012 and received her doctorate degree at A.T. Still University. Prior to working at NEWGEN, Grace was one of the pioneer physical therapists at the Guam Regional Medical City where she was the lead physical therapist for 2 years. Aside from having experience in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy, she has also worked in the home health setting. Although she enjoys working with all types of individuals with different types of conditions, her career interests include neurological, pediatric, and orthopedic rehabilitation. Dr. Glynis Grace Almonte is also our school-based therapist for Guam’s public schools.

Being from the island, Grace desires to share her passion of physical therapy with the people of Guam. She has given multiple talks to the general community about wellness and the importance of exercise. She has done in-services regarding proper body mechanics in patient/client transfers and positioning to the St. Dominic’s staff and nursing assistant students at the Guam Marianas Training Center. She has promoted physical therapy as a career at Tiyan High School and Ordot-Chalan Pago Elementary. One of Grace’s biggest goals for the island is to provide adequate rehabilitative care to those who need it and to provide preventative care and education to those who are at risk for illness.
